“We are convinced that buildings contribute more to our society than just function and square meters. Above all we design for the well-being of our clients and the users. Our working methodology is based on open communication and creativity. By doing so we create buildings with added cultural, social, economic and ecological value. We design buildings for which not only the users gain, but also the environment. Sociability, cultural appreciation, well-being, energy production, material waste and water-reuse are just
some of the topics which we bring to the design process.”
LIAG was founded in 1919 by Dirk Roosenburg, contemporary of architects such as Dudok, Oud and Rietveld. His vision was no different from that of LIAG today: designing buildings that make people happy and add value to society. Many of his buildings have since become a national monument, including the former headquarters of Philips and KLM, the Light Tower in Eindhoven and the Apollo House in Amsterdam.
