Rocco Design Architects is a HK based architectural practice, whose work is grounded in the belief that architecture is the embodiment of culture, embracing and reinterpreting the past as a fundamental way of bridging onto the challenges of the future.
Since the foundation in 1979, under the stewardship in design of Rocco Yim, the firm has grown significantly both in size and reputation. With currently 170 staff in Hong Kong and Mainland China, their works have been consistently awarded locally and overseas, up to receive recently the ULI’s Global awards of Excellence for HKSAR Government Headquarters and a special mention at German Design Award for the Guangdong Museum, already winner of the Iconic Awards 2014. Over the last decade the firm has also exhibited four times in the Venice Biennale, and will exhibit from 9th October 2015 at AEDES Architecture Forum, Berlin.
