Projects of Rosmaninho+Azevedo – Architects

Rosmaninho + Azevedo is the office formed in Porto in 2015 by Susana Rosmaninho and Pedro Azevedo.
They seek to enhance the architecture practice with complementary multidisciplinary enrichments, such as museology, an area in which Susana holds an M.A. from the Faculty of Arts-University of Porto, where she has been a researcher at CITCEM since 2014. Pedro has also taken the advanced studies course in architectural heritage at the Faculty of Architecture-University of Porto and is currently a PhD student in architecture at the same faculty. They are co-founders of the cultural association Contentor e Conteúdo (Container & Content), of which Susana Rosmaninho has been a director since 2015.
Their work has been published nationally and internationally and they have been invited to give lectures and open classes in Portugal and abroad.
In 2018, the Tua Valley Interpretive Centre won the Jury’s Special Award of the Archizinc Trophy – VMZinc (Paris); it was also nominated for the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2019, was a Finalist of the Bauwelt Award 2019: First Works and a Finalist of The Plan Award 2019. In 2019 it was one of the works selected to represent Portugal at the XI BIAU – Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism and proclamed among the Best 40 International works of the Barbara Cappochin International Architecture Prize. For its set of projects and works this practice was a finalist in the Architectural Review Emerging Architecture Awards (AREA) 2018.
