House at La Floresta

Project Description

La Floresta, a small and quiet urban centre next to Barcelona, is the setting for this project.
The house, situated on a slope, seems to arise from the ground. The building with its three floors establishes a strong relationship with its surroundings, owing to the large windows opening towards the garden on every level.
The complexity contrasts with a clear hierarchy of layout. The stairs, flooded with light from a large skylight, are a key feature, leading to the three floors.
The dialogue between client and architect played an important role in the development of this project.
With a unified interpretation of the architectural space, the project sought to integrate the client’s requirements sensitively.
