An important part of the concept underlying the architecturally sophisticated family home is the
preservation of the old, mighty beech on the property. The new volume lays around the tree at a
sufficient distance, all important in-house view axes relate to this beautiful tree. The building itself
was sculpturally designed, one- and two-storey areas, garage and main building are summarized
by the multi-folded roof to a monolithic structure
In the outdoor area arise diverse structured living areas such as the entrance yard situation with
atrium and the terraces to the garden side.
The detached house is also very innovative in terms of energy: with a 30 cm insulation, a brine
heat pump and a ventilation system with heat recovery, the passive house standard has almost
been reached.
In addition, a good part of the electricity for the energy-saving heat pump is generated by the
strikingly flush-mounted photovoltaic system on the south side.
Finally, the central theme of the tree was again taken up in a draft for a lighting of the entrance
area. This interior light was designed in collaboration with the client and lighting designer Dr.
Frank Petermann.
