Project Description
The project is located at the edge of the Tronçais forest. The slope and the limited budget guided our decision to create a building on stilts. This construction method complies with the terrain and limits excavation operations. This house is a shelter open to the landscape.
The ground floor is largely open to the outdoors and is extended by terraces. It is orientated variously so you can enjoy the sun at different times of the day.
Largely prefabricated, the house was assembled in a few days. The outer shell of the house is either wooden siding or corrugated iron sheets, with a colour similar to the bark of trees that integrates the house into its surroundings. The bedrooms are on the first floor and look out towards the landscape. Holes in the floor, with a net for safety, link the two levels.
