Project Description

A new three-storey building was built on top of a four-storey house from the founding period. The converging lines of streets meeting at a crossroads formed a complex, geometrical reference grid, which the addition of storeys is integrated into, as a meandering strip that culminates at the existing roof cornice and allows the new and existing buildings to merge. The building structure, glass fronts and terrace reflect the urban development situation of the prime location and play with various visual axes from the streets and from the Viennese roof landscape. The four spacious apartments, of which one is a maisonette, open up generously towards the city, whose structures determine their layout.
