Project Description
In the midst of Berlin and still surrounded by greenery: where a department store once stood in GDR times on Gartenstraße 100/corner of Tieckstraße, 75 residential units were created between 2010 and 2012 in four adjacent residential houses, each with six floors and an offset top floor, plenty of light, high standards of comfort and with their own separate entrances. They were named after the romanticists Schlegel, Novalis, Tieck and Eichendorff and present themselves visually as solitaires through their different colour schemes and individual architectural features. The corner building, in particular, is accentuated through the offsetting of its façades.
