Project Description
The VC-PE Tower, with a concept design by Studio Georges Hung-HK (formerly AtelierBlur –HK), cooperating with Huazhu Architectural & Engineering Design Company Ltd Shenzhen as executive architects and engineering, is a visually distinctive commercial tower 200 metres tall, a landmark within a newly developing commercial area in the Nanshan district of Shenzhen.
The primary driver of the design was a strategy of creating flexible, adaptable and efficient commercial leasing space for the demanding and constantly evolving requirements of start-up companies. Its unique design feature is its structural outer layer, which provides the primary support due to the diagrid structural system, thereby freeing up interior space. The efficiency of the diagrid represents the visual identity of the tower.
The VC-PE tower is both bold and subtle. It combines flexibility, adaptability and added commercial value with a visually unique urban edifice. Its architectural solution is iconic and makes its mark among the most recognisable contemporary towers in Shenzhen.
