Project Description
Villa Lumi (lumi = snow) is bordered by streets on three sides. The incoherent suburban environment does not provide any interesting views or starting points for the architecture. This is why the building is centred around a courtyard. The noise of traffic is blocked by a glazed wing with a pool. A terrace courtyard, opening towards the evening sun from the west, is a place where the family living in the villa can enjoy activities together.
In the interior, the restricted palette of materials and colours, together with the high and open living room, create a restful atmosphere. A special feature of the villa is the asymmetric concrete stair in the entrance, cast in situ, highlighted by the roof window.
