Why don’t you just tear this building down? This was the biggest question about this villa. It was build in 1949 and had to bear several conversions, so the formal valuable character disappeared.
The concept was to find a new fragile balance between the former quality and a new interpretation. We minimized the small sized rooms in taking away walls and setting new object to give an new space structure for the new living. We also put a new balance into the garden. We switched the position of the pool with the pool house and created so a counterbalance to the villa. A new dialog between inside / outside and the garden was created.
