Project Description
The new building block is characterised by lively, elegant streamlining that presents itself in many different ways from different perspectives. The building expands upwards into the urban space. The slight protrusions on the façade and the continuous window bands with staggered breast heights frame the building’s different levels. The window formats are a design element to create diverse lighting atmospheres in the rooms, thereby defining the relationship with the outside environment. The floor plans vary within the complex overall figure, allowing the building to offer an ideal range of highly contrasting uses despite its uniform volume, including restaurants, businesses, a large gym with a hamam, offices and apartments. The building’s main materials are glass bands and a curtain façade with silver reflecting metal panels. The building achieved Silver standard certification according to the specifications of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB e.V.).
