The „Chen Avenue penthouse design“ is a high standard contemporary intervention project located in Tel Aviv and it is a part of the “White City” urban conservation plan.
The conservation and reconstruction of the building was carried out by the well-known architect Gidi Bar Orian, who, with the authorization of city planners, was allowed to add two new floors representing a contemporary, lighter yet cohesive form, to the original design.
Within the extension of the two level penthouse, I was commissioned by the council to design a diplomats’ dwelling, which, I thought, was a wonderful opportunity to encompass all of the above traits, forming the correct concept, according to my understanding and creating a diplomatic dwelling in an international classic style setting.
