The project is located on a triangular urban plot, covering an area of 940.80 m²; the topography includes a 7.60 m slope down from west to east, so that the elevations in the corner converge with those on the surrounding roads.
Floor 0 consist in the rehabilitation and expansion of a pre-existing building, preserving the garage, the entrance, the vertical access and a storage area.
Floor 1 is where the main structure of the house is located – including service area, social zone and bedrooms.
The land is highly exposed because of the different topographies between the adjoining streets, this is why the house sits 1 m from the western boundary, below the street, and does not show any wall or elevation: it is completely closed to the north for urbanistic and thermal reasons, while it is open to the east, allowing the light to enter the kitchen.
Similarly, with the exception of the wide opening under the curved cover, the illumination of the building comes from small patios cut out of the volume.
