Hotel Garni Matterhorn Focus

Hotel Garni Matterhorn Focus

Project Description

The Garni-Hotel was designed by the artist Heinz Julen, who was also responsible for the interior design of all the suites and rooms. Each of the 30 rooms was designed with a great deal of attention to detail. The combination of old and new creates a special atmosphere. It successfully combines warm design and a modern attitude to life, architecture and nature. Through Heinz Julen’s art and skilful interior design, guests can spend relaxing days at the foot of Matterhorn. From the terraces and balconies, a wonderful view extends towards Switzerland’s highest mountain. All the guest rooms are distributed across three connected hotel buildings. The architecture of the two new buildings conforms to the old building in design and form, but reinterprets the regional building style structurally. The exterior design also successfully adopts the theme of combining the old and the new. In addition to the rooms, the hotel offers a spa, equipped with an outdoor and indoor pool, a brine bath, caldarium and Finnish sauna.
