Project Description
The National Music Forum was built on the basis of the project that won the international competition in 2005. The whole building refers to music, echoing the forms and materials of musical instruments. The elevations are therefore covered with wooden panels and golden aluminium, while the main lobby interiors are white and black. The building houses four concert halls, rehearsal rooms, artists’ rooms, foyers, lobbies, restaurants, bars, technical areas, as well as technical floors and an underground garage for 600 cars, under the square in front of it. All concerthalls are built according to the “box within a box” concept. The main concert hall has 1800 seats on four levels and features a very advanced acoustic system with the highest level of adaptability, which is made possible by the use of overhead canopies, wall curtains, reverberation chambers and the application of other technical components.
