Project Description
The location of the building on the bow of a new neighbourhood, bordering on railway roads, a fast track and an area still undeveloped, suggests that the more appropriate strategy is to provide the maximum interior space to the court of the building and make this a real GARDEN where to be. So the building narrows to the limit compacting in this wide night and service areas. The living areas pulled off this part and are introduced into the world of the vegetation of the interior garden. This way, we achieve to ventilate and illuminate naturally all rooms of the houses, including toilets and bathrooms, so usually regarded as a closet.
The narrow façade bay is built with a continuous and abstract skin, a dark grey brick pierced with some strict holes for dorms. The living rooms with big windows are conceived as light elements that are projected onto the garden. Their masonry is built in white brick, emphasizing its lightness and transparency, under the intention to bring visually the construction limit back to the black volume.
This new building in the neighbourhood, with black and abstract exterior appearance, will put an end point to the street and will be seen from adjacent roads as a guiding landmark.
