Project Description
The villa is situated on the seashore of Materada in Istria, Croatia, just a few steps from the beach, where the client wanted a recognisable residential house that satisfies both functional and aesthetic requirements – a visual epitome of luxury and comfort.
By positioning the ground floor perpendicular to the coastline, the site was opened up to the outside facilities, pool and terraces, as well as to the view of the seashore. A perpendicular positioning of the first floor in relation to the ground floor, made it possible to open up the interior spaces towards the sea, thus creating useful exterior spaces such as a covered entrance space and covered terraces on the ground floor.
On the ground floor there are four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and utility rooms. The first floor consists of a living room with a kitchen, a dining area, and a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
Basic materials used are corten steel, aluminium, wood and glass.
